Biomethane / RNG renewable natural gas win for YZ Systems

GRDF, the French natural gas distribution company, has chosen to partner with YZ-Systems and Milton-Roy Europe to supply odorization units for its Biomethane plants over the next 10 years.

The odorization units are used for the accurate injection of Tetrahydrothiophene (THT) into Biomethane. THT is a molecule injected into gas to give it a characteristic odor, so any leaks are readily detectable for public safety. Each new biomethane plant managed by GRDF will require the supply of a single THT injection skid.

YZ Systems’ over three decades long experience as a market leader in natural gas odorization in North America, combined with Milton Roy Europe’s world class production facility and engineering team based locally in Pont-Saint-Pierre, forms the winning combination for this mission critical application.

Together, Milton Roy Europe and YZ Systems aim to support GRDF's energy transition by providing turnkey solutions to ensure reliable and efficient biomethane injection in gas distribution networks in France. The partnership with GRDF further strengthens the presence of these Ingersoll Rand sister brands in Europe, particularly in France, in the arena of renewable energies.
